About That Brand / Industry guides
Branding agencies for B2B and enterprise software
Enterprise software has to make sense to a buying committee. The daily user, technical evaluator and procurement lead may all want different proof. A brand should help them understand the same business, not leave each team selling a different version of it.
Compare the work and the fit
Start with the underlying problem: an unclear proposition, a fragmented portfolio or a disconnected digital experience. The agencies below provide different reference points. Their documented assignments should help you compare scope, rather than assume that every agency offers an identical service.

Siegel+Gale
Siegel+Gale’s SAP case study describes portfolio strategy and visual identity work.

Ask which architecture decisions will be made, how customers will be involved and how the resulting structure will reach product pages, sales materials and internal teams.

Phable
Phable’s Appsurify case study documents visual identity, messaging and branded content for an AI-enabled software-testing business.
Source: Appsurify project ↗Consider this kind of experience when a specialised product needs a clearer story for its market. Ask who will interview founders, users and technical experts, and how the findings will change the language in a sales deck or product page. Request evidence appropriate to your enterprise sales cycle.
Connecting a software brand with digital experience
Clay
Clay identifies its Slack work as the design and build of an interactive demo, alongside broader branding and product-design services.
Source: Clay’s portfolio and service scope ↗That is a specific digital-experience example. It is relevant when buyers need to understand the product by trying or seeing it. Ask how the proposed engagement connects identity, interface and web development, and which parts are supplied by the agency rather than your in-house team.
What to put in your brief
- List the buying committee and the objections that stall a deal. Bring material used by sales, product, customer success and partners.
- Map product names, editions, acquired companies and commercial bundles. Identify where customers cannot understand the relationships.
- Specify handover assets: messaging hierarchy, product-page templates, presentation tools, brand guidelines and any application design system.
- Agree how you will assess the work. Comprehension and internal usability can be checked before launch; commercial results need a credible measurement period and wider context.
Questions worth asking
- How will you learn from customers as well as our leadership team?
- Which portfolio decisions must happen before visual design?
- What will our sales and product teams be able to use on day one?
Common questions
Should we choose the same agency for brand and product?
It can help, but only if the relevant skills and ownership are clear. Ask who leads research, positioning, UX, content and development, and compare the actual deliverables.
How is this different from the SaaS guide?
SaaS describes a delivery and business model. This guide focuses on enterprise buying committees, complex portfolios and organisation-wide adoption. Use both if your company has those characteristics.
